Village De Amor
We’re an organization built on a few simple principles:
Everyone deserves an opportunity to live a fulfilling life regardless of upbringing
Support and care shouldn't expire once a child leaves foster care
A childhood shouldn’t hinder one's ability to succeed or be happy
Aging out of foster care should not lead to homelessness
Children require unconditional compassion and support
It's been our experience that so many in the system get left behind not only during their time, but following it as well. We are passionate about helping these young people realize their potential by offering what so many lack after foster care . . . extended support.
We challenge that narrative by taking the time to get to know who we take in and by offering guidance in and after foster care. We also want to combat the issue of homelessness by acquiring tiny homes for post-foster living.
The message behind Village De Amor is that it takes a village to provide everything that a single child will need in this world. It takes resources that they are at a disadvantage to obtain on their own. It takes care and compassion from people more experienced and knowledgeable than themselves.
But most importantly, it takes time to learn and develop the skills needed to build confidence to embrace independence once the time comes. It is our goal to not only create an environment that nurtures this kind of growth, but one that encourages a pattern of giving back also.
We strongly believe that youth transitioning out of our care will be more able to support themselves and feel more comfortable asking for help if they need it. We are not simply fostering a group of kids, we are fostering the next generation of young leaders. We believe that it is invaluable to recognize the importance of the kind of care we are providing to make it well known that the youth is our top priority.

VDA's Angels
As an extension of Village De Amor, VDA's Angels helps to organize and compile resources.
VDA's Angels use their platform to showcase beautiful pieces of hand-crafted goods for sale that help fund our programs. It works to facilitate events for the youth and the communities that we serve.
Bela Flores Designs, also founded by Evelyn Flores commits 100% of proceeds to Village De Amor and is responsible for the lovely Genesis Collection available now.
VDA's Angels will also be collaborating with local craftspeople to release different collections that can soon be found in the store.
